Plastic the Revolution Community Guidelines
Effective date: July 11, 2026
Plastic the Revolution exists for one thing: getting plastic out of the environment and celebrating the people who do it. These guidelines keep the platform useful, honest, and safe. They apply to everything you post, including cleanup logs, photos, community pages, event listings, and display text, and they are part of the Terms of Use you agreed to.
Be safe and legal
Events and cleanups must be lawful. Do not organize or promote activity on private property without permission, in closed or restricted areas, or in conditions that put people in danger. Do not encourage anyone to handle dangerous waste such as needles, chemical containers, or biohazards; flag those for local authorities instead. Follow local rules about traffic, waterways, and waste disposal.
Respect people
No harassment, threats, hate, or personal attacks. Do not post anyone's private information, such as a home address or phone number, and do not use the platform to stalk, shame, or target anyone.
Post the truth
Log what you actually collected. Do not inflate weights, duplicate logs, or fabricate cleanups to climb the leaderboards. Do not create fake events or misleading listings. Impact figures across the platform are self-reported, and the whole system depends on people reporting honestly. We review suspicious entries and may adjust or remove them.
Photos
Only upload photos you have the right to share. If a person is identifiable in a photo, make sure they are okay with it being posted. Never post a photo in which a minor is identifiable without the consent of the minor's parent or legal guardian. Nothing sexually explicit, gratuitously graphic, or violent. Before uploading, check the frame for things you did not mean to share, such as house numbers or license plates. (Hidden location data is stripped from photos automatically, but that does not change what is visible in the image.)
Stay on mission
No spam and no unsolicited advertising. Do not use communities, events, or profiles to promote products, services, or fundraising without our written permission. Do not promote cryptocurrencies, tokens, digital assets, investments, or financial opportunities of any kind anywhere on the platform. Nothing on this platform is money or a reward, and content suggesting otherwise will be removed.
Adults only
Accounts are for people 18 and older. Minors may take part in cleanups at in-person events only when their parent or legal guardian is present and supervising, as described in the Terms of Use.
Reporting and enforcement
If you see content or behavior that breaks these guidelines, use the in-app report tools or email info@plasticimpactnetwork.com. Reports go into our review queue. Depending on severity, we may remove content, issue a warning, suspend an account, or ban it permanently. If you believe we got a decision wrong, reply to the notice or email info@plasticimpactnetwork.com and we will take a second look.
These guidelines evolve as the platform grows. The current version always lives at this page.
